This program is structured just like the Teddy Tumble Bear program for 3-5 year olds except that a parent or caregiver accompanies the child during the lesson. Children ages 1-3 may participate in Mommy and Me. We ask that only one parent/caregiver participate in the class with the child and please take off shoes before entering the gym. The student-teacher ratio is 7:1.
Children ages 3-5 participate in a variety of motor development activities, including the use of gymnastic apparatus. The activities and exercises focus on strengthening locomotor movements, and improving balance, flexibility, and body control. Social concepts such as taking turns, sharing, following directions, listening, and working within a group are encouraged. In the Teddy Tumble Bear program, the activities are set to music. Another special feature of the Teddy Tumble Bear program are the theme weeks (ie Circus Week, Rhythmic Gymnastic Week, Country Western Week, and Beach Week). Students in the Teddy Tumble Bear program are treated to a Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Valentine Party and Easter Egg Hunt. The student-teacher ratio is 6:1
Beginner/Advanced Beginner Class
Children ages 5 and up can take our Beginner/Advanced Beginner gymnastics classes. This class provides well-rounded instruction of all four gymnastics events (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise) and also uses the trampoline. Classes enhance physical development, coordination, balance, and self-confidence. Progress depends on the child's individual effort and ability. The student-teacher ratio is 7:1.
Children ages 5 and up may participate in Youth Tumbling class. Skills taught include rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, front and back handsprings, somi's and twists. This class is a great way to improve tumbling skills. The student-teacher ratio 7:1
Children ages 11 and up can take Cheerleading Tumbling. Cheerleading Tumbling concentrates on the tumbling skills commonly used in cheer routines (ie cartwheels, round-offs, round-off backhandprings, back tucks, etc). This class is a great way to improve tumbling skills, prepare for cheerleading tryouts, or learn new skills to incorporate into cheer routines. The student-teacher ratio 8:1
Boys ages 5 and up can take Boys Gym. This is a tumbling and trampoline class designed just for boys. The student-teacher ratio is 6:1.
This class is offered to boys and girls ages 5 & up who are interested in learning cheerleading techniques, stunts, and tumbling. The class works on tumbling skills such as rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, and back handsprings. The athletes will also learn to cheer and perform basic stunts. Trampoline is often used to practice jumps and flips. The student teacher ratio is 8:1.
This is a recreational tumbling & trampoline class for boys and girls ages 5 and up. This class works on tumbling skills, trampoline skills, and double mini trampoline skills. This is a recreational class modeled after our competitive tumbling and trampoline team.
Private lessons are available for any student who would like extra work on specific skills that are needed to advance to gymnastics or cheer team. Private lessons will be arranged by the office.
Students range in age from 3-5 yrs. At this level, there is some use of the ballet barre. Emphasis is placed on exploring movement, rhythmic activity, flexibility, and body control. Dance terminology is introduced. Concepts such as taking turns, listening to the beat, following directions, and learning how to do a step are encouraged. One or two dance routines will be learned to perform at the annual dance production. Our goal is for young dancers to learn new skills in a fun and positive environment.
